Part Time Rec Center Manager DEPARTMENT:
Parks and Recreation SUPERVISOR:
Director & Assistant Director Job Summary Supervises Wood River Recreation Center and makes sure programs/activities are operating safely and efficiently.
Job Scope Supervises program instructors.
No Budgetary responsibilities.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities Check the entire building periodically.
Supervise all programs and instructors.
Check out equipment.
Collect fees and prepare deposit.
Answer the phone and answer questions regarding programs/activities.
Schedule gym and room usage as requested and/or reserved.
Completes and supervises program registration.
Completes building closing checklists.
Activates security system.
Designs and maintains bulletin boards on a monthly basis.
Call program participants as directed.
Maintain daily building schedule, file daily forms and refill building schedule with new calendar pages.
Maintains positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner which promotes good working relationships with clients, customers, co-workers and supervisors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with the staff, program participants and the general public.
Ability to utilize a computer terminal.
Ability to anticipate work requirements, organize and plan work schedule with little supervision.
Education, Certification and Experience Required Requires high school diploma or equivalent or current enrollment in high school.
Previous experience working with the public is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
